Matilda Rose is a lovely quaint little shop. I came here recently and my whole experience was just lovely and incredibly helpful! As I do not wear dresses, I really had no clue on style or fit but Nicola was very patient with me and I managed to try on afew and bring it down to just 2 dresses that I am still deciding on. She has a really amazing range of dresses to choose from all really pretty designs! I would recommend this shop to anyone needing guidance on finding the dress for thier big day!

I had a very stressful experience at Mathilda Rose that left me feeling ripped off and dissapointed. Nicola (the shop owner) quoted my friend 550 less than what I paid for the same dress, only a couple of weeks after I had ordered it. I then called 4 other boutiques in the South East who stocked the dress and all were charging 500 to 600 less than what I paid. No shop was selling it for anywhere near what I paid and one shop even said that anyonr charging what I paid should be reported to the designer. These quotes were for the exact same dress, not samples. I politely brought this up with Nicola, but she told me that I had agreed to pay that amount, so too bad. When I originally visited the shop I told Nicola that I was worried about finding a dress in time for my wedding. I feel that Nicola used this to pressure me into making a fast decision about putting a payment down for the dress. I still feel ripped off and dissapointed. I wish I had read the reviews before visiting her shop.
