Fantastic and definitely worth 5 stars. We went along on a wet wintery Sunday at 2pm and found a nice table in the bar area straight away. They stop serving food at 2.30 so we picked a couple of dishes from the menu and ordered lunch with a glass of wine and bitter shandy. The service was excellent- friendly, helpful and efficient. Most importantly though, the food was ace! Served fresh and hot from the kitchen, good portion sizes and well seasoned very tasty dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed but in a well kept decent pub. Really enjoyed and would recommend for decent pub grub or booking for a family meal. Note, there is a stuffed Asiatic Black Bear in one corner.
Lovely food. Lovely place. Very slow service and the phone kept ringing loudly no one around to answer it.
The service and food even though it was very busy was superb. Would definitely recommend to all but book first.
Quite an enjoyable venue. Can't go wrong with Tanglefoot. Apparently the food here is pretty tip top too.
A chance drop-in for a Sunday lunch whilst en route back from the coast and was extremely lucky to find a free table. The place was very full and rightly so. Lovely Sunday roast, one chicken, one lamb, both perfect. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was fabulous. Thoroughly recommend, but suggest booking.
